I get excited when I get a chance to film the wedding of one of my former volleyball players.  This time around, I was able to film Jen’s wedding to Sal on December 3 and it was a great day for those two.  I’ve known Jen and her family since she was high school and being able to catch up with them during the entire wedding planning process was a treat.

I always laugh when filming prep.  It’s just a different feeling when I leave the girls’ house and head to the guys.  They were laid back and the funniest moment of his prep was watching the guys play beer pong and Sal getting iced.  The look on his face was priceless and it was a great start to the day.

This wedding was so much fun to be apart of.  Everything just worked out perfectly and I couldn’t ask for a better day for my staff to film and photo.  Their ceremony was beautiful and the reception was rocking.  Congratulations to Jen and Sal for a wonderful wedding and reception

I remember during one of my first meetings with Heather and Gary, he mentioned to me the Jager Gator.  It’s a dance that centers around Jagermeister and it was one of the most wildest dances I’ve ever filmed and shoot.  It was wild and one of the many highlights of Heather and Gary’s Wedding on November 19 at Our Lady of Prompt Succor on the Westbank and Generations Hall.

It all started off with Heather and Gary surprising the reception with an impromptu bridal party dance during the middle of the first dance.  This was a great start to the reception and it just kept rolling and rolling throughout the night.    Some other highlights besides the Jager Gator was Gary rapping on stage to Ice Ice Baby with the band, a touching speech by Gary’s bestman, and a second line that went up to the 2nd floor of Generation Hall and around.  It was a great night for Heather and Gary

Jeanne-Marie and Brett had a fantastic wedding day at the Balcony last November 12.  Everything just worked that day when we arrived at her house for bridal prep and it flowed even better when I went to the guys house for Brett’s prep.  I loved every minute of their wedding and everything that we did before their special day.

I was first introduced to them by Jeanne-Marie’s brother in law Rick.  He wanted to give something special to Jeanne-Marie and he did.  Rick booked me to film her wedding as his gift to her and was she surprised by his generosity.  It was the first time that I’ve had anyone other then the bride or her parents book me for her wedding and it was a sight to see her face when I told she was having her wedding filmed and that Rick was responsible for it.

I loved everything about their day.  From them jumping the first kiss before they were officially married to Jeanne-Marie’s nephew stealing the dance floor during the reception.  It was wonderful times and I’m glad that my staff had a little part of her always remembering her day on film.

I always enjoy working on love story interviews.  It allows me the opportunity to get to know my clients better and to hear their story from the beginning of their relationship all the way to the wedding day.The whole creative process of the video is a joy to work on and I loved hearing Meagan and Ryan’s story during their love story session.  They had mentioned to me that they were high school sweethearts and those are some of the best stories to hear.  I love the fact that they met during their first day of school as freshmen, were friends all through that and finally started going out just before graduation.  They had a great story and one of the best parts to their session was Meagan’s back yard.

We normally venture out to different locations to film portions of the love story, but Meagan suggested her back yard and it was beautiful.  She had about two acres of land and my favorite area was her deck that overlooked the swamp.  It was awesome and gave us wonderful footage to film and take great photos.  Meagan and Ryan have been fantastic to work with and I can’t wait to show them their love story video and film their wedding.  They are getting married on March 3, 2012.

A few weeks ago I met up with Alexis and Jim for their casual engagement session at City Park.  It was a wonderful afternoon with them and it helped me get to know the soon to be married couple a little bit better.  I’ve always enjoyed getting to know my clients personally and I’ve got to know Alexis and Jim a little more during this session.  I first met Alexis during all the planning for D’Andra and Buddy’s wedding and she was an awesome Maid of Honor for D’Andra.  She kept me in the loopt for everything that was going to happen and was there for anything D’Andra needed during her day.  To describe her job in one word as the Maid of Honor, she was awesome.

I was thrilled when Alexis emailed me asking if I was free to film her wedding to Jim.  I’m always humbled when someone is referred to me or remembers the work I’ve done for their family and friends.  Alexis and Jim are a great couple and I can’t wait  to get them infront of the camera for an upcoming family shoot and their wedding in March.  They are getting married this March 24, 2012

Rachel and Mitch was probably one of the funnest days I ever had as a wedding professional. If I had one word to describe their day, the word would be FUN.  From the looks of everyone on film and on photos, everyone was having a blast during their preparation, the ceremony, and especially at the Reception.  For probably the last half of the reception at the Sheraton, the dance floor was packed with everyone dancing to the sounds of Groovy 7.  It was that much fun and it shows on the video and on photos.  Congratulations to Rachel and Mitch for having an awesome day.  Please enjoy their closing montage above with a few photos of their day below.

Over the course of two days, I spent time with Jessica and Cody to start preparing their love story video.  They are getting married on November 11 and during their rehearsal dinner on November 9, I will debut their love story video to their family and friends.  Out of all the videos I create for my clients, the love story is my favorite one to do.  It allows me to get to know my clients better and to learn a few things about them.  Jessica and Cody were different and I loved hearing their story about how their met and other key parts to their relationship.  I had a wonderful time during their interview session and at our location shooting in City Park.

Jessica and Cody have been an absolute joy to work with and I can’t wait to show their love story video at their rehearsal.  Here are a few photos from both our interview and location sessions
