Kendle and Hunter was my last wedding of 2011 and it was a great way to end the year.  They were married at the Mater Dolorosa Church uptown and held a great reception at the Pavilion of Two Sisters in City Park on December 10, 2011.

One of the cool aspects of Kendle’s wedding was that she was a bridesmaid for one of my past brides.  During my consult with her mother, she quickly spotted Kendle in one of my video samples and once she saw Kendle, she booked me on the spot.  That was one of my easiest pitches and it was absolute pleasure working with Kendle and Hunter on their wedding day.

A few weeks ago I met up with Alexis and Jim for their casual engagement session at City Park.  It was a wonderful afternoon with them and it helped me get to know the soon to be married couple a little bit better.  I’ve always enjoyed getting to know my clients personally and I’ve got to know Alexis and Jim a little more during this session.  I first met Alexis during all the planning for D’Andra and Buddy’s wedding and she was an awesome Maid of Honor for D’Andra.  She kept me in the loopt for everything that was going to happen and was there for anything D’Andra needed during her day.  To describe her job in one word as the Maid of Honor, she was awesome.

I was thrilled when Alexis emailed me asking if I was free to film her wedding to Jim.  I’m always humbled when someone is referred to me or remembers the work I’ve done for their family and friends.  Alexis and Jim are a great couple and I can’t wait  to get them infront of the camera for an upcoming family shoot and their wedding in March.  They are getting married this March 24, 2012

Ever since I finished editing Amanda’s Bridal Session, I wanted to write this blog piece and post some of her bridal portraits. I knew I couldn’t post them until after the wedding and when I got home from her day early Saturday morning, I grew excited.  I knew I could post her bridals for everyone to see.

Amanda was amazing during her portrait session.  She was comfortable and just very relaxed during the whole time Janell and I was with her.  It helped a lot that her mother, maid of honor, and one of her bridesmaid was there to offer support.  Everyone offered ideas on what type of shots we should take and I felt that we hit a home run on everything we did.  It was a great day behind the camera and offered me a sneak peek at what she would be wearing on her wedding day.

I jumped at the idea when Jeanne-Marie mentioned that she wanted part of her engagement session at UNO.  I hadn’t been on campus since I graduated and it was fun to walk around and take in the old building and some of the new ones.

Jeanne-Marie and Brett met there and she wanted to bring a little bit of UNO into her engagement photos.  It was such a fun session as we walked around the quad and found an empty classroom to take silly photos in.  After finishing up at UNO, we went to Audubon Park to finish up and they ended the shoot riding skate boards and answering a few questions for their mini love story video.  Jeanne-Marie and Brett are scheduled to get married on November 12 and please enjoy some of the engagement photos below and you can view more from this session at our facebook fan page.

A few days before Easter, Janell and I shot Sean and Brandy’s Engagement Photos at City Park.  Sean and Brandy are getting married on October 22 and came down from Houston for the session.  City Park is such a great place to shoot at and this was a wonderful day to shoot.  They were such a beautiful and photogenic couple to shoot and there was not a bad picture from either Janell or my camera.  I can’t wait to film and shoot their wedding this October.  Please enjoy some of their engagement photos below and you can view more from this session on our facebook fan page

I’ve known the Seghers family since I was in high school and they were just awesome to shoot during their Family Session at City Park.  I hoped for more sun during the day, but besides that everything went perfectly and I couldn’t be more happier.  They were such a photogenic family to shoot and the grandchildren were especially fun to play with out in the open.  I had such a fun time with them and please enjoy some of the photos below.  For a few more photos of the session, please visit our facebook fan page.

City Park and Christmas in the Oaks go hand in hand.  It had been some time since I’ve been there last and I was excited that both Angelle and Bryan wanted to take their engagement photos at Christmas in the Oaks in City Park.  There were so many things to shoot at City Park and it was fun having Angelle say that she wanted some shots here and others over there.  It was a blast and City Park does a great job decorating the Botanical Gardens for Christmas in the Oaks  Angelle and Bryan are getting married on March 12, 2011 and below are a few of the engagement photos from our shoot.

I’ve known Charlie for some time.  During college, we worked at the cinema together and had some good times working behind the concession stand and up in the projection booth.  He’s a good friend of mine and when we told me that he and Jennifer were expecting their first child together, I was excited for the both of them.  Charlie has always had a boyish attitude and that’s going to translate well into the raising of his child.  Charlie is a good friend and will be a great father.  They learned that they are expecting a boy and after pushing them to name it after me, they decided on Brooks.  What a great name! I’m happy I was able to photo and video their maternity session and can’t wait for the arrival of Brooks this January.

When I first heard that Charlie and Jennifer were having their first child together, I knew I wanted to shoot a maternity video for them.  Last weekend I ventured into something new and shot my first maternity session.  I was thinking outside the box doing this shoot and feel that I was able to get good footage and photos of my friends.  Below are a few photos from the shoot and coming soon I’ll have the maternity video

Not everything planned goes as scheduled.  Taryn and I planned their engagement shoot at Audubon Park on a Sunday morning, but they never got there.  As I got to the park, there was a birthday party going on and other events around the park that would have made it difficult to shoot their engagement photos and Save the Date Video.  A text and a phone call later, we moved the shoot to City Park and we couldn’t ask for a better day.  Taryn and Lee were awesome to work with and rockstars throughout the whole day.  Below are few teaser photos from their session and coming soon is their Save the Date Video.
