I couldn’t be more happier with the way 2010 worked out for us at Weddings by Digital Video Breakdown. Everything that I hoped for, we accomplished and it benefited the people that mattered the most; our clients.

2010 was an incredible year that saw us film priceless moments. I’ve never forget our first wedding of the year when Dale broke down during his vows and started crying; the amazing dance that D’Andra and her bridesmaids surprised Buddy with; Timmy crying during every step that Jonee took coming down the aisle with her father and the look of Becky and Brice’s face when they saw each other for the first time during the first look session. These are the moments that stand out to me but there are hundred more that I could write about.

I could not have done any of this on my own and would like to thank my staff for all hard work and dedication to the craft of videography and photography. To Janell, Jenn, Emily, and Jen, thank you for everything and we will continue to develop new concepts and techniques for our client’s enjoyment.

I can’t wait for the start of 2011 as we will grow from everything we did in 2010. To everyone out there, Have a Happy New Year and below is a collage our my dependable staff working through the year. Many thank go out to Ray Taix of the Brothers Taix Photography for his great design on the collage

I’ve never met a more calmer and organized bride then Cynthia.  When we arrived at her aunt’s house for bridal prep, she was warm and welcoming of my team and I and just calm as could be.  She wasn’t nervous and was enjoying every moment of her day.  The same was true for her husband to be Brock,  He spent the day with his groomsmen and gave me an impromptu interview during the middle of his groom preparation.

Their calming and laid back attitude made for a great ceremony at St. Charles Borromeo and an awesome reception at Destrehan Plantation.  Everyone was there to celebrate Brock and Cynthia’s union together and the interviews we conducted out the plantation were truly priceless and made their night even better.  Brock and Cynthia are a great couple and please enjoy their closing montage above and a few photos from their day taken by my staff

I’ve known the Seghers family since I was in high school and they were just awesome to shoot during their Family Session at City Park.  I hoped for more sun during the day, but besides that everything went perfectly and I couldn’t be more happier.  They were such a photogenic family to shoot and the grandchildren were especially fun to play with out in the open.  I had such a fun time with them and please enjoy some of the photos below.  For a few more photos of the session, please visit our facebook fan page.

I enjoy going to rehearsal dinners and filming the speeches given by family members and friends.  It allows me to get to know other members of the bridal party and it’s just a good time.  This was great as I’m good friends with both Jason and Adrienne  and I was humbled when they asked me to film and document their wedding.  The rehearsal is always the start to a great weekend and both Ray and Claire delivered emotional and heart felt speeches to their brother and sister.  Please enjoy their speeches above and some photos below of their rehearsal dinner.

City Park and Christmas in the Oaks go hand in hand.  It had been some time since I’ve been there last and I was excited that both Angelle and Bryan wanted to take their engagement photos at Christmas in the Oaks in City Park.  There were so many things to shoot at City Park and it was fun having Angelle say that she wanted some shots here and others over there.  It was a blast and City Park does a great job decorating the Botanical Gardens for Christmas in the Oaks  Angelle and Bryan are getting married on March 12, 2011 and below are a few of the engagement photos from our shoot.

Emily and Charles wanted something different for their engagement photos and videos.  After tossing some ideas around, I thought of the perfect place for their engagement session.  We settled on Mardi Gras World on the Westbank and we had a fantastic time playing with all the floats and decorations on this shoot.  It worked out even better because Emily and Charles are having their reception at Mardi Gras World.  It was a great shoot that showed off their personality and love of Mardi Gras.  Below are a few teaser photos from our shoot and their engagement video will be coming soon.

I’ve known Charlie for some time.  During college, we worked at the cinema together and had some good times working behind the concession stand and up in the projection booth.  He’s a good friend of mine and when we told me that he and Jennifer were expecting their first child together, I was excited for the both of them.  Charlie has always had a boyish attitude and that’s going to translate well into the raising of his child.  Charlie is a good friend and will be a great father.  They learned that they are expecting a boy and after pushing them to name it after me, they decided on Brooks.  What a great name! I’m happy I was able to photo and video their maternity session and can’t wait for the arrival of Brooks this January.
