I thought my 2013 Wedding Season concluded with Legrande and Kristy’s wedding but I was mistaken when I received an email from Michele checking on my availability for her wedding. Thankfully I was free and this was a fun wedding to shoot.

This was the first Jewish wedding ceremony I ever filmed and one of the great things about being a wedding professional is the exposure you get from filming different types of wedding ceremonies and traditions.  I enjoyed learning something new and being able to film this wedding was a great experience for me.

Michele and Ben were a great couple to work with and getting a chance to meet their family and friends made it better.  Michele asked that I walk around and try to get well wishes from her family and friends at the reception and normally guests are shy to talk to the camera, but not Michele and Ben’s guests.  All were willing to grab the mic and step in front the camera and wish the newlyweds their best.  It was wonderful and every interview spoke on how good Michele and Ben were as friends, as a brother and sister and just how good people they were.I enjoyed getting these soundbites and hearing them again during the edit process.

I can now say that my 2013 Wedding Season is now concluded with Michele and Ben and please enjoy their wedding montage above and can’t wait for my 2014 Wedding Year to start

My last session of 2012 was a family sister shoot with Sarah, Emily, and Amanda.  It was fun times and one of the best things about this session is that Sarah is one of my former volleyball players and I’ve known her since her freshman year in high school.  It’s always special for me to work with one of past players and I even coached Sarah during a club volleyball season.  That’s how far back we go.

Another great thing about this shoot was getting to know her sisters Emily and Amanda.  One of the life lessons I’ve learned from my grandfather was getting to know your clients and I have used that as the basis for DVB.  Just like Sarah, Emily and Amanda are great girls and all three of them were very friendly camera friendly.  I noticed during the shoot that Amanda, the youngest of the three, is the wild child and climbed up a tree for her solo pictures.  It made for a great shot and the look on Sarah and Emily as she went up on the tree was priceless.

The one thing I haven’t mentioned is that Sarah is getting married in 2014 and this was just one of many photo and film sessions that I have planned for Sarah, her family, and her fiancee Ray.  I had a great time with these sisters and I can’t wait to be a small part of Sarah’s wedding and capture their moments on film and photos.  To view more photos from their session, please visit our Facebook page at this link

Ever since I finished editing Amanda’s Bridal Session, I wanted to write this blog piece and post some of her bridal portraits. I knew I couldn’t post them until after the wedding and when I got home from her day early Saturday morning, I grew excited.  I knew I could post her bridals for everyone to see.

Amanda was amazing during her portrait session.  She was comfortable and just very relaxed during the whole time Janell and I was with her.  It helped a lot that her mother, maid of honor, and one of her bridesmaid was there to offer support.  Everyone offered ideas on what type of shots we should take and I felt that we hit a home run on everything we did.  It was a great day behind the camera and offered me a sneak peek at what she would be wearing on her wedding day.
